Molly Stephan - wildlife rehabilitator

Molly Stephan was born and raised in Miami, Florida. From a young age, her family cultivated her love of animals and she inherited her joy of birdwatching from her grandparents. After finishing high school during the pandemic, she took some time to travel and find her passion, which led her to volunteering with Pelican Harbor Seabird Station. After six months as a volunteer, Molly began as an intern in the clinic. What started as a four month internship turned into two years of learning, experience and excitement about all PHSS has to offer. After years of dedicated work, Molly was hired as an official wildlife rehabber at the station.

Molly is also studying Veterinary Technology at Miami Dade College, Medical Campus. She plans to follow by becoming a Certified Wildlife Rehabilitator and looks forward to continuing learning about her passions. At Pelican Harbor, Molly has become an expert in wrangling opossums, feeding baby birds, and changing people’s minds about vultures. When Molly is not working at Pelican Harbor Seabird Station or attending classes she enjoys going to concerts, watching scary movies, and of course, spouting bird facts at any given opportunity.
