Idris Sardharwala - volunteer coordinator

Idris is driven by compassion for all living creatures and a search for meaningful work. This personal mission has guided him through a diverse career, from structural engineering and technology consulting to serving as a jeweler's apprentice.

His journey ultimately led him to Pelican Harbor Seabird Station, where he now serves as Volunteer Coordinator. Idris is passionate about supporting the volunteers who share that same value of compassion. A burgeoning "bird nerd," Idris thoroughly enjoys learning to identify new species and contributing to a mission dedicated to healing and protecting local wildlife. Outside of work, Idris enjoys rock climbing, making music, singing onstage, and attempting to befriend every stray cat in Miami. His other interests include feng shui, holistic natural medicine, nutrition, yoga, and creative writing.
