Christina Monteanu - Grants & Major Gifts manager

Christina Monteanu joined Pelican Harbor Seabird Station in January 2026, bringing nearly 30 years of experience helping nonprofit organizations across Miami-Dade County secure the funding they need to grow and serve their communities.

A graduate of the UM School of Communication with a degree in communications and English literature, Christina combines a love of storytelling with a deep commitment to mission-driven work. She is passionate about environmental protection and animal welfare, values that shape both her professional work and personal life.

Outside the office, Christina is a creative at heart, writing screenplays, stories, and songs, and enjoys art, gardening, poetry, music, and film. Her love for animals includes rescuing and fostering.
