Pelican Harbor Seabird Station is inviting artists to submit proposals for a large wildlife-themed mural on its new facility in Miami’s Little River area. The 20-by-55-foot mural will be highly visible from the Brightline train and aims to promote local wildlife conservation and education. PHSS is especially encouraging submissions from artists based in Miami-Dade’s District 5. Applications open September 15, 2025, and close October 30, 2025. The new facility will expand Pelican Harbor’s capacity to rehabilitate over 2,000 injured animals annually. The mural will celebrate South Florida’s native species and deepen community connection through public art.
