2025 Wildlife Photography Contest

Do you have a great shot of South Florida’s amazing native wildlife? Enter Pelican Harbor Seabird Station’s 2025 Wildlife Photography Contest and share your wildest moments for a chance to win prizes and be featured in a public photo exhibition in Miami!
Whether you’re a professional photographer or just someone who loves the outdoors, this is your chance to celebrate local wildlife—and support conservation at the same time.

Rules
Original work only
Photos must feature native South Florida wildlife in the wild (no captive animals)
$30 donation per photo (up to 3 submissions, one per category)
Each person must donate and submit separately (including junior photographers)
Entries accepted July 1st through September 30th
Photo must have been taken in South Florida, and in 2024 or 2025
Winners will be selected by a panel of PHSS staff and volunteers
One overall winner + one winner for each category will receive awards and prizes (details coming soon!)
A selection of submitted images will be featured in a special public exhibition in Miami — stay tuned for details!
⚠️ Submitting a photo provides PHSS with a Commercial Use License, in perpetuity. You will retain ownership of the photo. We will always credit you when using your photo in any context, and will not have the right to license your photo to a third party.

Main Category: South Florida Native Wildlife
Urban Wildlife: Animals spotted in city or suburban settings
Baby Wildlife: Wild animals at their cutest age
Junior Photographers: Any South Florida Native Wildlife photo, for photographers under 18yo
Submission Process
1. Start by filling out the Entry Form ➡️
Choose how many photos you'd like to submit (up to 3), make your donation, and provide a few key details.
2. You’ll receive an automatic email confirmation with:
Your Donation Transaction ID
Instructions for submitting your photos
3. Submit your photos by email following the instructions received
