Set sail with Tropical Audubon Society and Pelican Harbor Seabird Station for a special sunset cruise celebrating South Florida’s birds, habitats and the power of conservation collaboration! Join us Friday, October 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. for a serene 2-hour journey through Biscayne Bay. Expert guides, Tropical Audubon Field Trip Coordinator Brian Rapoza and Education Director Daniel Mlodozeniec, will help you spot Brown Pelicans, Magnificent Frigatebirds and other native and migratory species as they return to roost against the backdrop of the setting sun.

Along the way, discover Tropical Audubon Society’s conservation work at Mangrove Island, an important Biscayne Bay bird rookery, and learn about Lights Out Miami, a campaign to make South Florida safer for the millions of migratory birds that travel through our region each year.
Cruise participants are also invited to arrive early for an optional 90-minute tour of Pelican Harbor Seabird Station’s current facility at Pelican Harbor Marina. The tour begins at 4:30 p.m., offering a special behind-the-scenes opportunity to learn more about the organization’s lifesaving wildlife rehabilitation work before the cruise departs promptly at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $70 per person, with proceeds benefiting both PHSS, and Tropical Audubon Society’s mission to conserve and restore South Florida’s ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife and their habitats. Binoculars will be provided, or bring your own, along with your favorite travel-size snacks and beverages.
