Sarah Curry · Education and Communications Coordinator
Sarah began her career at Pelican Harbor as a volunteer back in 2016, before working as a part-time contractor doing grant research. Historically a fish freak, she’s excited to stretch her wings in the birding world and contribute to the great work taking place daily at Pelican Harbor.
Sarah is a Louisiana native and has an undergraduate degree in Marine Biology from LSU and a Master’s degree in Environmental Journalism from CU Boulder. Sarah moved to Miami six years ago from DC to produce sustainable seafood documentaries. Her three films were screened at film festivals and conferences around the world and two were screened nationally on PBS. They can now be found online. In 2016 Sarah founded the nonprofit Sereia Films to continue her work using film as a tool for environmental education. Sarah loves exploring the unique and natural beauty of Florida.
